I consider myself Jewish, though I've never gone thru with the whole conversion thing. I've taken two very interesting series of classes on the subject. Something we can talk about. Happy new year!

Some of my favorite people on this earth end up being Jewish. I've always been really interested and sympatico with everything Jewish since I was about 11 and read "The Chosen" by Chaim Potok. I think I envy the resolve and pride that Jews have for their faith. Being that committed part of a faith larger than the individual is really admirable and mysterious to me. I'm a horrible Catholic for any number of reasons, and I certainly have failed in teaching my kids about any religion and they've never been baptised. Anyway- tell me more, clearly you are provoking thought.

That reminds me...I still (a decade later) find myself saying "My name is Inigo Montoya (or however your spell that). You killed my father. Prepare to die." :)
