Duff thinks he blew one of the sections of the LSAT. He aced the experimental section, which doesn't count. I do not mention the thousand dollars. This morning when he drove away, I had the strangest thought: that just 10 points on the LSAT could mean the difference between being wealthy and being comfortable. One hundred dollars a point would not have been a bad investment. But that is too pat. I cannot do anything but love him; he did what he could.

I wouldn't have made a good rich person, anyway.
