That was the best unattended death scenario I've ever read. What most people dread you have made attractive and inspiring. Very cool. How astonishing you are! ~LA

It's plagued me for years how others seem to get ahead while the rest of us just seem to flounder. Just when I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel, a new crisis arises and the sense of stability gets shot to hell.

Yeah, it's 10:00AM over here and in many ways the day is already shot.... Oh, for the joys of living (young and skinny and single too, of course) on the dole!

I've been rather hung up on the privilage some others have and probably fail to recognize as such of late. It *may* have something to do with the conversation I overheard while dining in the fancy-pants-stacked-food restuarant that we decided was too snooty for our taste. A family of three at the table next to us was clearly staying at the resort (a Four Seasons where the CHEAPEST room is $560 a night). They were discussing the opening of the King Tut exhibit in Los Angeles and the mom was telling the 10ish year old boy, "Daddy is arranging for a private viewing of the collection for us." ... because, I guess, some people are entitled to things that the rest of us are not. It just makes no fucking sense to me. ----- Sorry you're in a crappy way today. Remember that the great thing about hitting the bottom is that things, at least, stop getting worse. I'm glad you're writing again... maybe in the big picture it'll help. xo~ Alice
