The numbers of dead and missing are too much for me to explain to my daughter. "As many people as live in San Francisco?" "Not quite," I say, "but I think about the size of Tacoma's population." (Where I'm from and where her grandmother lives.) So devestatingly sad. My nine year old is also obsessed with her Neopet! Hope all is well.
